The time has come, Wii'ers.
The (greatest) Wii Tournament (ever!) takes place tomorrow, Saturday, November 15th at the Mountain View Community Center (Mt. View Boys & GIrls Club building).
The Wiis are ready, the door prizes have arrived, the wiimotes are warmed up, with batteries loaded - we are now counting down the hours until WiiDay!
You can still pre-register online, and I really encourage you to do that - you will save yourself having to wait in line to register AND instead of having to show up at noon like everyone else, you will get to show up 15 minutes prior to your actual game time, and you will get priority in the playing order! Sort of the 'Wii. I. P.' treatment. :)
Pre-register (via SurveyMonkey) here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=NrMnq_2f8IHLeGn0asrK5pxQ_3d_3d
Maybe you heard us on KFAT 92.9 this morning - they are one of our sponsors, and have been really cool about helping us out. Especially Brad and Nikki from the morning show - they are good people, you guys. Listen to their show. :)
Most of the credit really belongs to Ian Clark, from Ian's Game Paradise - he has worked really hard, and donated all the Wiis and the equipment for the tournament - this guy is so great - you really need to hire him for your next party or event, for a fun, fresh entertainment idea. He will set up all kinds of video game entertainment, and he is just an email away at iansgp@gmail.com.
I can't wait to see you all at the tournament tomorrow - I will be there all day, as your friendly neighborhood MC. And I can't wait to give away all these prizes, they are really burning a hole in my pocket!
Prizes like:
Three brand new Wiis
A brand new Wii Fit
A brand new Guitar from Mammoth Music
Gift certificates from places like Target, Title Wave, FYE, and Century 16
Customized Wiimotes
Wii Games
and more!
Remember guys: If only one person shows up tomorrow, they get it all!
See you all tomorrow - registration (at the door) is from noon to 12:30pm. Pre-register to see the game times, and show up 15 minutes prior to your start time!
It's $20 to enter one game tournament, $10 for each additional game. $40 will enter you in all three games, and give you 3 chances to win a door prize!
The proceeds from the entry fees and all food sales go to the Autism Family Support Center at Stone Soup Group, which is a program that helps families of kids and teens with Autism & Asperger's Syndrome. That's a lot of kids, you guys, so even if you don't want to play, you can come and make a donation, and maybe win a door prize - and it all goes to help families and kids right here in Alaska.
Wii can't wait to see you all tomorrow -
Becky & Crew
